MAKERSPACE
A place to create, play, learn, grow skills and develop products.
Our retail and gift shop will highlight locally crafted items produced by youth and local artists.
Use will be free for youth during youth center hours and a fee schedule for day use will be available soon.

Equipment available will include all of the resources needed to support the top ten activities identified above.
A survey was conducted locally in 2022 to identify what youth and adults in Frazee want to create in the Makerspace. A total of 85 people filled out the survey with 58% being youth, 27% being ages 36-50 and equal distribution from ages 19-25, 26-35, and 50-67.
People were provided a list of 30+ options of what activities they could participate in or what they want to produce. The top results are listed above.
People are most excited about: Screen-printing, Soap and Candle Making, Laser Engraving, Wood Burning, Lego Cars
Usage: People identified that 45% of persons would utilize this space 1 or more times per week, and of those 14% would utilize it 3+ times per week. An additional 25% would utilize it more than once a month.
Fee for Service: Most people are willing to pay for the Makerspace use. Only 9% of people stated they would not be willing to pay a fee for the use of equipment/services in the space.
Open Hours starting June 1st Monday through Friday 9am to 5:30pm.
Members can access the equipment everyday from 7am to 10pm by using their door code.
