DIRECTOR'S DESK
Karen Pifher - Executive Director
A message from Karen Pifher
"I've been incredibly honored to be on the founding journey and development of the CornerStone Community and Youth Center! As a teen parent, previous single parent, and with lived experiences in poverty I know what it's like to not have access to resources that help youth and adults in communities to thrive. I've dedicated my career to improving wellbeing for people in communities and have a Masters in Community Development with an emphasis in Non-Profit Leadership and Management, and a Bachelors in Social Work. I currently own my own business, Creating Community Consulting, and as part of that work am supporting CornerStone as the interim Executive Director. CornerStone, will give our youth opportunities to thrive, and to provide a collective community space to gather daily and engage in meaningful artistic opportunities which will transform social connectedness and personal growth. I couldn't be more proud of the work that has, and will continue to be done. We are lucky to embrace so many people on this journey, and hope you will join us in being a part of our story."
